Biography

Professional pianist from the National University of Colombia. Bogota. He began his music studies in the Basic Program of the National University of Colombia, performing semester auditions in the Olav Roots and Otto de Greiff auditoriums in his hometown (1998-2006), thus completing his basic musical training under the direction of Master Mariana Posada. He began his professional studies in 2007 and performed his undergraduate recital on July 7, 2013, at the Teresa Cuervo Auditorium of the National Museum, with significant attendance.

More recently, in 2017, she finished her Master of Arts studies at the Zurich Higher School of Arts (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste) where she was sponsored by different institutions such as: Alfred und Bertha Zangger-Weber Stiftung, Freundeskreis Musik, Stiftung Petersburg and Elsy Meyer Stiftung. under the mentorship of teacher Adalbert Roetschi .

He has extensive experience as an accompanying pianist, which began in 2002, with Violin students from the Conservatory of Music of the National University of Colombia, Corno and Oboe students from the Batuta Foundation. During his undergraduate degree in Instrumental Music - Piano with Maestra Mariana Posada, he accompanied students from the conservatory in Tuba, Vibraphone, Violin, Violoncello, Horn, Double Bass and Singing.

He has developed several successful musical projects. She is a member and founder of the Tonmalerei two-piano chamber music group, a group that made its concert debut on November 25, 2010, and with which in December 2011 it was the winner of the Soloists Contest of the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory of the National University of Colombia for his montage of the work "The Carnival of the Animals" by Camille Saint-Saëns. The concert with the same assembly was held on September 17, 2012 in the Leon de Greiff auditorium, as the opening concert of the cultural activities of the university week of the National University of Colombia, under the baton of international director Guerassim Voronkov .

She is the creator of the High Sounding Quartet ; 6 and 8-handed piano female group, with which she has won important competitions in Colombia, such as the Young Interpreters 2014 at the Luis Angel Arango Library, and with which she has been invited to play in different places in the Colombian geography.

She is co-creator and Director in Colombia of the Unión Musical Back to Nature Music, whose main purpose is the cultural and social exchange between musicians from different geographies. In 2017, the Musical Union carried out a project that was carried out in Colombia and Ecuador and in Switzerland it held a concert in 2018, with the participation of approximately 45 musicians. During 2019, an alliance was made with the Fundación Música con Passione, with the support of which they held a series of Concerts, Workshops and Master Classes in Colombia. In Switzerland, the project will be carried out in November of this year.

He has actively participated in master classes with the pianists Blanca Uribe, Martha Zabaleta, Harold Martina, Luis and Victor del Valle (Duo del Valle), Richard Steinbach in Bogotá. In 2013, he received classes in Germany with Masters Raluca Wagenhauser, Stephan Imorde, Jacques Ammon and Konrad Elser.

He participated in the 2013 Cortinas International Didactic Festival , in Villingen (Germany) where he received classes with Maestro Abram Cortinas, participated in the Chamber Music Concert as a member of duos and trios and was a Soloist with the Festival's orchestra, under the baton of the director Pedro Cortinas at the closing concert of the same event. More recently he has participated in Piano and Chamber Music Festivals in Lugano (Switzerland) and Campagnatico (Italy).

In 2014, she was invited as an active student to master classes at the VIII Cartagena International Music Festival with Maestro Andrea Rebaudengo. During this same year, at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Trossingen (Germany) he received classes with the teachers Clemens Müller and Reinhard Becker; At the Zücher Hochschule der Kunste (Zurich - Switzerland) he received classes with the teachers Ulrich Koella and with Karl Andreas Kolly. Additionally, at the Conservatoire Strasbourg (Strasbourg - France) he received classes with the masters Michel Gaecher and Dany Rouet. She was invited along with Altisonante by the BLAA to receive a chamber music class with the Duo Impuls.

She has recorded shorts as a soloist and with the Altoisonante Quartet, for PRISMA TV , invited by the UN Media Agency

From 2014 until his departure for Switzerland, he served as Accompanying Pianist of the Tuba Chair of Maestro Freddy Romero at the Conservatory of Music in Bogotá.

Currently, he is doing Master's studies in advanced studies in Music, at the Zurich Higher School of Arts (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste) continuing his training process under the mentorship of teacher Adalbert Roetschi.

As a Soloist he has performed concerts in different auditoriums such as: Olav Roots, León de Greiff, Otto de Greif, León Tolstoi, Teresa Cuervo Borda (Bogotá, Colombia), Tannenhöhe (Villingen, Germany). He recently performed concerts in the Orgelsaal, Kammermusiksaal and Konzertsaal 1 auditoriums of the ZHdK (Zürich, Switzerland), Aula der Kantonsschule (Solothurn, Switzerland), Iglesia San Antonio (Tuscany, Italy), Teatro Centro Civico Eloy Alfaro (Guayaquil, Ecuador) and Fabio Lozano (Bogotá, Colombia) and the Concert Hall of the El Castillo Museum (Medellín).
